OPI Skull and Glossbones

Skull and Glossbones

Bad Blogger. I'm afraid i have been a very very bad blogger.I havent blogged in 6 weeks and i am ashamed *hangs head*

I'm not going to write you all a huge list of reasons why not, to be honest I dont really have any.  All i can say is that sometimes i have a lot to say, and sometimes i actually have very little. Sorry about that.
Anyway, today im doing a nail swatch from a long time ago. I actually found this when i finally hooked my DSLR up to my computer. So here it is, my first blog in 6 weeks.

Incase your wondering, here are a few meagre excuses why i have blogged.

*i've been working my ass off
* i've been to the wirral, liverpool, belfast, and london on consecutive weekends through out january and february.
*I turned 20 this month
* I lost my Mojo
* I'm a very bad blogger

Skull and Glossbones - pirates of the caribbean
So, here it is. I never liked neutrals before this colour. Its putty, slightly drop of yellow neutral.
Theres not a lot else to say. I love it. It applies like a dream, it wears like iron (and being neutral, it doesnt suck too badly if you do chip/tip wear/get bored and peel most of it off) Its also super work-appropriate, for you office ladies, and not too dramatic as to scare off a date!

I actually bought myself an Imac to make blogging/work easier as doing it leaning over a macbook wasnt great for me, and when i plugged my camera in for the first time i found a whole heap of nail swatches hidden away. This one, is still my favorite!

This colour has started a stream of neutral colour purchasing on my behalf. OPI French quarter for your thoughts, did you ear about van gogh? i love them all.

So, do you do neutral? Or are you a dramatic kind of girl?

win £300 of daniel sandler make up!

Daniel Sandler is a renowned British makeup artist with a difference. Not content with simply beautifying his celebrity clients, he created Daniel Sandler Cosmetics, a range of high performance, luxurious makeup that brings out a woman's natural beauty.
To supplement his luxurious collection of cosmetics, Daniel Sandler sought to offer women an entire multi-sensorial pampering experience. The result is the 'In Love candle', a collaboration with artisanal candle crafter Jonathan Ward. The couture candle was painstakingly created with a wax so pure that you can use it to moisturise your skin, and a decadent vanilla, musk, patchouli, clove, violet and black pepper fragrance.
Founded in 2008 after four years of fragrance research and design, Jonathan Ward London has quickly gained an enviable reputation for producing the finest quality scented candles. All candles are hand-poured using the finest artisan craftsmanship, and each fragrance is a sophisticated blend of premium ingredients and scents, lovingly selected and expertly combined.

Pip x

Love to me, is to be held when your back aches. The scent that still excites you, the butterflies when you've been apart for the shortest, but the longest of time.

Love to me is never complaining, always complimenting, the sun bathed glow of skin. Love is back breaking work, and with each labour filled breath you are thankful for what you have. The rose that never blooms, the apple that never falls, love preserves in its rawest form what only those who have been in love can feel.

I do not love him, like story books or great poets thought. I love him realistically, between his collar bone and arm, i love him humbly, when he placed that ring on my finger and promised to bring me forever. I love him without doubt, or question or fear. I love him eternally, and with gold be that blessed.

NOTD - OPI Cuckoo For This Colour

Opi Cuckoo for this colour

This beauty came out with the swiss collection of 2010. I get a little bit excited every time i see a dark green, Here today aragon tommorow, to name one of many really float my boat. It makes my hands look a little red, as it does everyone but regardless, god bless my neutral skin tone.

Its a piney green, with mountains of shimmer. Application is fantastic, easy and quick drying. Micro-flecks of glitter make this polish the winner of the swiss collection in my opinion. It gives you a polite 'look how pretty i am' when you catch sight of it in the light. I've spent many a minute staring at my nails.

I have nothing in my collection even similar, which is even better. I love it when i find something unique. Some people have compared it to Zoya Suvi, however i only own one bottle of Zoya and that isn't it haha!

Whats everyones favorite green? This is probably mine! :)

NOTD: OPI Austin-tatious turquoise

Did everyone have a merry christmas? I certainly did. Needless to say there was lots of make up, but thats a given. If you're missing christmas terribly, skip to the bottom of this post for a picture of my cat and some tinsel! So cute!
I know im a little behind on blogging, inexplicably both the wire and charger for my DSLR have disappeared. Im now importing pictures by putting my memory card in my new camcorder and using the wire for that. I know, Hours of fun.

Anyway, on to the polish.

Austin-tatious Turquoise is from the Texas collection of what is now officially last year (i signed the date today, 2/1/12 just doesn't seem right.  This beauty has been hiding in my collection for a while, it has been sat in my collection unnoticed for a while. It shone a shiny little duo chrome of pink-purple at me the other day, and so on it went.
However pretty it looks, i wouldn't rush out to buy it. Its a freaking nightmare. It took nothing more than stubborn, angry perseverance to get like this. The formula is sheer, watery, irritating. This is a whopping FIVE coats.

It shines blue in some lights, leans green in others. It has cute co-ordinating flecks and is magical if you can make it work.

Its lovely, really. But only if you have lots of time, and patience to spare.

I've never been to texas, but i don't even think they'd like this there.

Happy new year everyone!

P.s - as promised, a picture of Mr Penguin.
